RAM

-         RAM is main memory also, you can call ram like same with memory. Random access memory RAM is a type of computer storage whose contents can be accessed in a fixed time not considering the location of the data in memory. This contrasts with sequential memory devices, such as magnetic tape, disk and drum, in which the mechanical movement of the storage medium forces the computer to access data sequentially.

-     First became known in 60'an. Only when the semiconductor memory has not been popular because the price is very expensive. It was more common to use a magnetic main memory. Semiconductor companies such as Intel debuted with producing RAM, more precisely the types of DRAM.

-     Usually RAM can be written and read, as opposed to read-only-memory (read-only-memory, ROM), RAM is usually used for primary storage (main memory) in the computer to use and modify the information actively, although some tools use some type of RAM to provide long-term secondary storage. You know RAM capacity is measured in bytes, the amount of  RAM that can be installed in a computer system depends on both the CPU in that computers and the operating system being used.

-     To knowing the type of memory module and the amount of memory your computer can support, so that.s also important to select the proper type and speed of RAM.

-     Most personal computers use SDRAM or everybody can say ( synchronous dynamic RAM ), SDRAM is commonly available is DDR or everybody can say ( double-data rate ). DDR and DDR3 version. DDR memory sends data twice as often as ordinary SDRAM to increase throughput, DDR2 transmits twice as much data in the same time available.

-     In order to take advantage of the improfed performance of using multiple paths, multi-chanel RAM typically needs to be installed, in matched sets, such as two 1 GB dual-chanel memory moduls instead of a single 2 GB dual-chanel memory modul.

Well, RAM as we know  it’s volatile, there are several forms of nonvolatile, RAM ( NVRAM ) that is, memory that retains data when the power to the device is off becoming available or under development.

-     RAM uses memristors or ( short for memory resistors ) that change their resistance in response to current flowing through them.

-     Applications for nonvolatile RAM is include storing critical data for enterprice system as they operate to guard against data loss and saving data necessary to help industrial outomation and robotics include “ instan-on” computers and mobile device that can be turn on and off like an electric light, without any loss of data.

-     Regardless of the type of RAM used, the CPU must be able to find data and programs located in memory when they are needed.

To end up, this might just be me conclude that, if there are many mistakes in my summary, I am will accept somecriticism from you. thank you for the attention you've been reading this summary.
